This digital media course will help students develop skills with graphic arts and videography using the Adobe software products Photoshop CC and Premier Pro CC. Students will develop critical thinking skills to employ technology to create graphic elements and plan, develop, record and produce video content. Tiger News Network (TNN) broadcasts are produced by students in this course.
Hands-on activities involve learning to use advanced photographic equipment, video cameras, studio lighting, and professional software. Students will work in teams to create TNN broadcasts with instructor supervision and oversight, but will be responsible for collaborating with each other to produce a professional video product.
Upon successful completion of this course, 7th grade students will have the opportunity to continue developing their skills by re-joining the course as an 8th grade student.
