This is the second semester of the Coding and Robotics Course. Students enrolled in this course should have successfully completed Coding and Robotics 1st Semester. This course will apply the skills acquired in Coding and Robotics 1 and extend them to more rigorous challenges. Students will explore the use and implications of robotic technology along with its’ impact on society. Additionally, hands on activities will involve creation, construction, and programming of Lego Mindstorms robotic devices.
Student progression in the course will transition to more challenging projects and move towards using alternative block-based and text-based programming. As in the prerequisite course, initial learning will incorporate graphic icons in order to master the movement and control of the devices which will then give way to the textual programming environment. Students will be exposed to additional block-based programming languages such as "Blockly" and Microsoft's MakeCode.
